CRASH is the construction and property industry charity for the homeless. It works closely with other homelessness charities to make life better for hundreds of the UK's most vulnerable. In particular, CRASH concentrates on improving and refurbishing hostels, day centres, training centres and move-on accommodation. Its aim is to provide the homeless with a home from which they can begin to reconnect with normal society.
CRASH persuades the building industry to supply materials, manpower or professional expertise either free, at cost or at heavily discounted rates. The result is that premises can be renovated to a much higher standard than would otherwise be possible.
Due to the way CRASH's core funding is covered by its Patron Companies, every penny from the Golden Bond places will go "out the door" to CRASH projects.
If you have chosen to run for CRASH as a Golden Bond runner, you can support the charity further by raising sponsorship. There is now an easier, paperless option by creating your own online fundraising page through the Just Giving website - visit our page on Just Giving.
CRASH has been allocated 150 Golden Bond entries - these entries are guaranteed. Please contact the charity on 0208 742 0717 for further information.
