Long
Walk, The Great Park, Windsor, England
Car Park and access to the start is off A332.
With
a great deal of co-operation from the Crown Estate, the course
has been altered to be run entirely within the Great Park.
It will consist of one small lap of approximately 4 miles
& a second large lap of approximately 7.5 miles with the
start & finish of 1.5 miles on the Long Walk as in previous
years.
This
new course, although still undulating, is nowhere near as
hilly as the old course. For elite athletes we estimate that
the course is at least 2 minutes quicker. Further down the
field this should translate to most of the runners finishing
5-10 minutes quicker than in previous years, and with less
hills to negotiate they will be less fatigued!
