This page contains answers to our most frequently asked questions, if you have a question, please check below to see if the answer is already here. Otherwise you may of course email us.

What time does the race start?

The Sprite Sprint starts at 12.00 noon, the Windsor Half marathon at 1.00 pm and the Fun Run at 1.15 pm

How early do I need to arrive?

It is recommended that Runners arrive one hour before the start of the Event.

Where can I park & is it free?

There is ample free parking, close to the Start and Finish line, which is well signposted using yellow AA signs. Parking attendants will be available on the day to answer any questions you may have.

Will the venue be signposted?

Yes, just follow the yellow AA signposts for the Windsor Half Marathon, which will be located on all major routes into the Great Park.

When will my race pack arrive?

Your race pack should be with you 10 days prior to the Event.

What is included in the race pack?

Race number, timing chip and travel directions.

What should I do if my race pack does not arrive?

Unfortunately, race packs do on occasion go astray. Should yours have not been delivered one week prior to the Event, then please contact FR Systems

What should I wear?

An adequate pair of running shoes, and comfortable clothing suitable to the weather on the day

Will water be provided?

Yes, there are water stations at regular intervals around the route.

What other facilities are on-site?

There is a Community Marquee and some children's entertainment.

Is there a facility for storing bags?

Yes, there is a Baggage Marquee on-site. Bags will be labelled and stored during the race.

Is there on-site catering?

Yes, there are a number of catering outlets on-site selling teas, coffees, cold drinks & snacks, hot baguettes, toasties and sweets.

Will I be able to purchase merchandise on the day?

Yes, there is a Merchandise Marquee where you will be able to purchase a commemorative t-shirt of the Event., plus other excellent merchandise. There will also be a Nike stand selling quality branded running gear. Click here for more information about our tshirts

Can I bring a pop-up tent?

Unfortunately, no tents, other than official site Marquees will be allowed in the Great Park. Any baggage will need to be labelled and stored in the Baggage Marquee.

Can I bring dogs?

The start and finish area is within the Deer Park , therefore only well-behaved dogs are allowed on-site, and they MUST be kept on a lead at all times. Any mess must be cleaned up & disposed of by the owner.

Are there toilets?

There are clean, ample toilet facilities provided near to the Start and Finish line.

Can I transfer my entry?

No, entries are non-transferable, as stated in the Terms & Conditions

If I am unable to run, can I have a refund?

No, entries are non-refundable, as stated in the Terms & Conditions.

How do I find local accommodation?

Accommodation can be found by contacting Windsor Tourist Information on (01753) 743907 or www.windsor.gov.uk/accommodation.
